The Story
I'm Akil Virani — a Seattle-based professional who leads with curiosity and stays rooted in genuine connection. By day I drive sales growth at AAA Washington, building the strategies and relationships that move an organization forward. By weekend I pick up a camera and photograph love stories, quiet moments, and the people brave enough to be fully seen.
What ties both worlds together: I believe the best results — whether a sales number or a photograph — come from slowing down long enough to actually listen. That instinct shapes everything I do.
I came to photography through a genuine obsession with light — how it falls on a face, fills a room, or turns an ordinary PNW afternoon into something you want to hold onto. I shoot on a Sony A7 IV and edit every image by hand, bringing the same care to post-processing that I bring to the session itself.
Weekends you'll find me out with my camera somewhere in the Pacific Northwest — the trails, the coastlines, the hidden corners most people drive past. That wandering shapes everything I shoot.
